Materials

We use high-quality fabrics in our garments so they last time. By producing high-quality garments, they can be used longer and thereby place less burden on the environment. We are constantly seeking for better and more sustainable materials for our garments.

You can find the materials we are currently using below:

Linen is one of the oldest textile sorts in the world. It's an extremely strong, lightweight fabric made from the flax plant.

LINEN

Linen is one of the oldest textile sorts in the world.  It's an extremely strong, lightweight fabric made from the flax plant. Linen is an ecological material, since growing the plant doesn’t exhaust the soil. Flax plant grows quickly, therefore feeding and treating the plant with pesticides isn’t needed.

The linen we use is OEKO-TEX® standard 100 certified

We get our linen from a Lithuanian supplier, Linas Ab. Our Lithuanian supplier uses only green energy, which means all of the power provided to their manufacturing area is from renewable sources.

TENCEL™ Lyocell

Trademarked by Lenzing, an Austrian chemical and textile manufacturing company, TENCEL™ is the name of a group of semi-synthetic textiles made from sustainably sourced wood pulp that is then chemically processed into thread.

TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers are extracted from sustainably grown wood using a unique closed loop system which recovers and reuses the solvents used, minimizing the environmental impact of production. Unique physical properties lead to their high tenacity profile, efficient moisture management and gentleness to skin.

TENCEL™ material has the EU environmental label, which is awarded to products with significantly low environmental impacts during their life cycle. The production process of the material is more environmentally friendly than the well-known modified fiber viscose, and unlike viscose, sulfur dioxide is not used in its production, which has numerous environmental and health disadvantages. Production is done in a closed cycle, whereby more than 99.5% of the chemicals used in production are recovered, cleaned and reused.

Care instructions should be followed carefully, generally avoiding high heat.

ORGANIC COTTON

Cotton is one of the most common and versatile fabrics in the world. Cotton is a soft and skin-friendly material. It absorbs moisture and breathes well. Easy-care cotton is also a strong and durable fiber that does not electrify or pill easily.

We understand that cotton is a material that consumes natural resources. Many types of cotton are grown using pesticides, chemicals and other contaminants that have negative effects on the environment, the people who work with it, and those who wear it. However, there are alternatives that offer consumers the benefits of being non-toxic, more environmentally friendly, socially responsible and higher quality. The Global Textile Standard - GOTS Certified organic cotton is one of these options.

The cotton we use in our garments is GOTS-certified organic cotton.

Rather than plastic buttons, we use natural Corozo buttons in our garments. Corozo buttons are made out of a 100% natural raw material - Tagua tree nut.

COROZO

Rather than plastic buttons, we use natural Corozo buttons in our garments. Corozo buttons are made out of a 100% natural raw material - Tagua tree nut. Corozo buttons are environmentally friendly as they can only be produced from a ripe nut, which has naturally fallen from the tree. Its natural harvesting and biodegradability makes it one of the most sustainable raw material used in button production.

Our Corozo buttons are OEKO-TEX® standard 100 certified.

The Corozo buttons we use are produced in Lithuania by FM Buttons.
